Is this you?
When you wake up you're tired and, before you've even got out of bed, you begin going over your to-do list. You are stressed, overburdened and stretched too thin, and even when things calm down outside, your mind continues to race.
You may lack the clarity you once had, and decisions can now feel harder than they should. You may also feel detached from your body, as though you are living in your mind and acting on autopilot, which leaves you tired.
You may be facing a difficult situation because of change, on the verge of burnout, recovering from one, or feeling that some kind of change is needed.
If this sounds familiar, you've found the right place.
Sophrology is a gentle practice that uses breathing, relaxation, and guided visualisation to reestablish the link between mind and body. It helps you pause, breathe, and reconnect with your body. Instead of pushing yourself, it is about learning to listen to yourself again.
It's for you if:
• You feel chronically stressed or anxious, even when nothing is "wrong"
• It appears that your mind is dispersed, foggy, or detached from your body.
• You are currently going through a period of change or transition.
• You feel exhausted, are moving toward burnout, or are recovering from it.
• If you want to improve your sleep, think more clearly, and feel more secure.
• You need tools you can use, not just theoretical ones.
How I can help
We will focus on simple, practical techniques you can use every day, not just during sessions.
Step by step, you will learn how to:
• Set your nervous system calm and release physical tension.
• Quiet the noise in your mind and regain your focus and clarity.
• Reconnect with your body and the messages it sends.
• Build resilience so stress won't take over so readily.
• Return to yourself, stay grounded, be in the moment, and feel comfortable.
You do not need to keep pushing; there is another way, and it starts with a first session.
Disclaimer : I want to be clear about what I can and cannot offer as a sophrologist. Sophrology is a wellbeing and relaxation practice. It is not a medical or psychiatric treatment, and it does not replace professional mental health care. If you are dealing with severe depression, are in crisis, or need ongoing psychiatric or psychological treatment, this environment and the support I can give may not be the right fit. I encourage you to seek the clinical support that is best for you first.
What this can look like in practice
Take Sarah, a marketing manager who felt anxious, could not switch off at home, and woke up at 3 a.m. with thoughts about tomorrow's tasks.
Within a few sessions, she learned a simple breathing technique to use at her desk before stressful meetings and an evening routine to help her mind let go of the day's concerns.
A few weeks later, she said she had found "the off switch," which she thought she had lost; her sleep had improved, she reacted less impulsively to stress, and she felt more like herself at home.
This is just an example; every client's path is different and tailored to your life and needs.
The name has been changed for privacy purposes. Every client's journey is different and is tailored to your own life and circumstances.

FAQ sophrology session
-
Yes. Sophrology is particularly well suited to online sessions.
The exercises are simple and can be practised comfortably at home. Being in your own familiar space can make it easier to relax, feel comfortable and incorporate the techniques into your everyday life.
-
A typical sophrology protocol runs 5 to 12 sessions to see meaningful results: 5 to 6 sessions are usually enough to learn the core techniques for general stress or sleep, while 8 to 12 sessions allow for deeper personal transformation or more specific therapeutic goals.
-
Sessions are personalised to you. We may use breathing exercises, gentle movements, relaxation, body awareness and visualisation.
-
Not at all. Sophrology is not about emptying your mind or stopping your thoughts. Instead, it helps you become more aware of your body, breathing, thoughts and feelings in a gentle and accessible way.
-
Sophrology can be particularly useful when you experience stress, mental overload, exhaustion, difficulties switching off, lack of confidence or a period of change.
It can also help you develop greater body awareness, relaxation and resilience, and give you practical techniques that you can use in everyday life.
-
Sophrology can be a valuable complementary approach when you experience or recover from burnout. It can help you slow down, become more aware of your physical and emotional state, manage stress and gradually reconnect with yourself.
If you are experiencing significant physical or psychological symptoms, sophrology should not replace appropriate medical or psychological care.
-
Nothing special. You need to feel comfortable. Sophrology does not require sportswear or any particular equipment.
-
That’s completely fine.
You don’t need to arrive with a clear goal or know exactly what is wrong. Sometimes the first step is simply recognising that you don’t feel quite yourself.
We can take the time to explore what you are experiencing and identify what might help you move forward.
-
Mindfulness is mainly about observing the present moment without judgement, simply noticing your thoughts, feelings and sensations as they are. Sophrology shares that foundation, but goes further: alongside awareness, it uses structured breathing, gentle movement, relaxation and guided visualisation to help you release tension and reconnect with your body. In short, mindfulness helps you notice what's happening; sophrology also gives you tools to work with it.

-
Sophrology is a complementary approach, not a medical treatment. It can be used alongside other support and is particularly helpful for people experiencing stress, overwhelm, burnout, life transitions or loss of confidence
-
Absolutely. You don’t need previous experience with sophrology, meditation or relaxation techniques. I guide you through each exercise and adapt the session to your needs and comfort level.
-
Sophrology becomes particularly useful when you bring the exercises into everyday life. I may suggest simple practices between sessions, but there is no pressure to practise for a specific amount of time.
The aim is to give you tools that are realistic and easy to incorporate into your life.
-
Yes. Sophrology works very well online because you can practice comfortably at home.
Online sessions offer the same personalised guidance and support as in-person sessions.
-
Sophrology is generally gentle and accessible, but it may not be appropriate for everyone or every situation. If you have a medical or psychological condition, or you are unsure whether sophrology is suitable for you, seek appropriate professional advice.
Sophrology does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment
